Monddi Design Agency’s new branding has helped to breathe life back into the landmark property known as The Ice House, SA1 Waterfront, Swansea. Situated on the east bank of the River Tawe, this Grade II listed building, circa 1880, was originally used for the production and storage of ice and cold storage for shipping.

This unique building has been transformed into a sleek, glass fronted contemporary wine bar and Fine Art Gallery. Monddi’s brief was to encapsulate the feel of both traditional and contemporary, with the new concept of The Ice House working alongside another Monddi brand, Coastal Galleries.

The new branding is suitably simple, yet striking and easily identifiable and has been created to work in various layouts while not detracting from the building itself. The deep, rich brown on an ivory background reflects the warmth of the interior and complements the warm red of the Coastal Galleries colours.

We wish Lorna and Chris the very best of luck in their exciting new venture and for the Official Launch this Sunday, 22nd November !

‘Design Week’ credit for Monddi Design Agency’s branding of The Ice House.
In November’s edition of ‘Design Week’ (Volume 24 Number 47), Monddi was credited for the branding of The Ice House Wine Bar and Gallery in Swansea.

Following the great success of Damson and Slate’s opening back in May this year, Hilary Lowe asked Monddi design agency to design and build the Damson and Slate web holding page, prior to launching the Damson and Slate main web site on St David’s Day, March 2010. We are, of course delighted to be involved with such a fantastic brand !
